Hangfire jobs
Many invoiceR tasks run in the background as recurring jobs, controlled by Hangfire. These include for example the master data import, the posting export to the ERP (see ERP plugins), the import of documents and clean-up tasks.
Which jobs exist and when they run is stored in the table conf.IrRecurringJobs. Each entry has a cron
expression that defines the schedule, and a configuration as JSON.
Viewing jobs and starting them manually
Section titled “Viewing jobs and starting them manually”Under Administration > Job-Ausführung you see all recurring jobs of your tenant:
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Id | ID of the job (HangfireId) |
| Job | Description |
| Cron | Schedule as cron expression, for example 0 6 * * * for daily at 6 am |
| Time Zone | Time zone of the schedule |
| Next Execution, Last Execution | When the job runs next and when it last ran |
To run a job immediately, for example after the ERP has provided new master data:
- Open
Administration > Job-Ausführung. - Click Run Task (arrow icon) in the row of the job.
The job is queued immediately. The regular schedule stays unchanged.
You need the permission Hangfire for this.
Hangfire dashboard
Section titled “Hangfire dashboard”The Hangfire dashboard shows running, scheduled, succeeded and failed executions with their logs. There you see for example how many master data records an import created, changed or deleted, or why an export failed.
- Under Administration, click Hangfire dashboard. invoiceR opens the backend login page in a new window.
- Log in with your user.
- Click Hangfire on the backend start page. Alternatively open
https://<server>/hangfiredirectly.
You need the permission Hangfire dashboard for this.
